DECA WIKA Bearing
Tapered Roller Bearings Tapered roller bearings are capable of carrying both radial and axial loads and permit fine adjustment for end play.
Taper roller bearings have tapered inner
and outer ring raceways between which tapered rollers are arranged. A
logarithmic contact profile provides for optimum stress distribution
over the roller and raceway contacts.
At moderate speeds the design of
the guide flange and large roller ends promotes effective lubricant film
formation. However, operation at high speeds demand special lubricating
arrangements Tapered roller bearings are widely used in roll-neck
applications in rolling mills, transmissions, gear reducers, geared
shafting, steering mechanisms, and machine-tool spindle.
